The town of Jacó and Jaco beach is the closest, the readily accessible beach from San José. It Jaco-beach-aerial-view holds its reputation of being the “fun and sun” spot on the Pacific coast. Jacó is considered the liveliest and most developed beach town featuring endless shopping, international restaurants, nightclubs, and casinos with all amenities anyone might need.

Since the new highway was completed, the trip from San José to Jaco beach can be made in 75 minutes, barring no traffic snarls.

Temperatures average between 85 and 90* F during the day and 75 to 80* F at night. Such weather provides ideal year-round beach activities. Jaco beach is an ideal beach to indulge yourself with a plethora of activities. Whatever your desire, Wild Fish Costa Rica can likely make it happen for you.

At Jacó beach Costa Rica surfing is a way of life for many. The waves are consistent, with very healthy left and right breaks year round. These are ideal conditions for beginners and less experienced surfers. For the “hard-core” surfer, 5 minutes south of our hotel, the infamous Playa Hermosa is home to the International Quicksilver Championship and many other international surfing competitions.

The town of Jaco caters to the needs of travelers of all age groups with a variety of activities. For the nature lover, within one hour of our hotel, there are several national parks replete with exotic birds, endangered animals, and exquisite tropical plants and flowers.
